man, thanks Midna. I guess you can call me Russ?
Well, I've always kinda wanted to believe in ghosts. I like the idea of them, in a scary but fun sort of way. My house when I was growing up was like that- my mom used to say I talkd to corners and stuff when I was a kid, and I do have a memory of the tv turning on one night when I fell asleep on the couch (did you ever see that show, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack? used to scare me but i also liked it.)
I think i was a pretty lonely kid so it doesn't really surprise me that i made up imaginary friends. every kid I ever invited over for a sleepover would call their mom before midnight to go home. Maybe they got the heebie jeebies from the place but I think we were all really young and my mom believed in natural laundry detergents (those soap nuts or whatever) so our bedding never smelled super nice and they were probably just homesick.
Also, I've always kinda had a sleeptalking issue, my girlfriend says I will sit up and say nonsense to the corner of the room. My mom always has a laugh and says it must just be in my character.
I think I'd be more scared if I didn't just think there was an explanation for it all. I'm just some guy, people talk in their sleep all the time, and everyone has a "ghost story" from their childhood home. The early 2000s was a weird time.
