Super Nintendo

Post by MajoNoTakkyubin »

Has anyone here gotten a Super Nintendo? I was flipping through Nintendo Power at the grocery store and Chrono Trigger looked like it could totally be the bomb! I've been thinking about upgrading from my Game Gear to a proper gaming console, but do I betray our great gaming overlord SEGA, or do I cave and get a Genesis instead?

Gamegears are so great for portability! Funny story, My cousin made my aunt return Mortal Kombat because some kid at school told him that if you left it on too long, Shao Kahn would come out and steal your soul!

Donkey Kong Country and the Mega Man games are pretty solid on the Super Nintendo, but the $70 price tag per cartridge is pretty steep.

If you get a SNES I can give you a list of games. Obviously Zelda: A Link to The Past should be one of the first games you get. Also if you like that style you should also look at Secret of Mana, it is probably my favorite game of all time.
How many of them really know what they want, though? I mean, a lot of them think they have to know, right? But inside they don't really know, so... I don't know ,but I know that I don't know.- Lloyd Dobler

I've given in, haha. I am now the (proud?) owner of a Super Nintendo! I grabbed Zelda on Stooge's advice, and a friend of mine was super generous and let me have her Chrono Trigger until I'm done, so I guess I know what I'm doing between uni for the next couple of weeks!

Wait, you can paint and make music on a Super Nintendo? ...I'm sold!
