No month of May
No twinkling stars
Shearing shears pulled the wool
from my skin and left me bare
Under its gaze
It never sees beyond me
God I
wish it would
Look away

Sorry, just being paranoid. It reminded me of something, I'm just not sure what.

I don't think there is such a thing as being paranoid. If you had to describe what it reminded you of, the feeling it gave you, what would it be?

I’m not sure…helplessness, inevitability. Something I was meant to forget. I’m sure it’s nothing.

It may just be that I was successful with the poem in expressing the feelings I had when I wrote it. In any case, you aren't alone in those feelings, Pen.

funny with everything going on i stopped poetry but i feet inspired by this one . i dont know if its a response or just a shared felling maybe both.

The Vast perfection of emptiness.
Skitters on the void of time.
Calling " find me the lie I told ".
Tears fall like diamonds we call stars.
Seeking mercy for there owner.
Would you call me a liar ,
Or do you weep also.

That's beautiful, Kat.
It invokes in me the feeling of staying in the sun, strangely.
